Changelog

Last updated:

This page lists information about significant changes to the OBR CTM S.A. website — including improvements to layout, readability, ease of use, and digital accessibility. It does not cover every content update (e.g. new articles in the news section or job postings), but focuses mainly on enhancements to the site itself.

Date Changes
  • Replaced the mission section with ship illustration with an information slider on the homepage (Polish and English versions) — three slides: Eurosatory 2026, opening of CEM in Gdynia, and expansion of the CTM Management Board.
  • On desktop: alternating text layout and square illustrations; on mobile: compact slider without graphics, controls at the top (slide counter, progress bar, dots).
  • The slider auto-advances every 8 s; slides can also be changed via dots, keyboard, or horizontal scrolling.
  • Adapted the slider for text scaling and high-contrast mode.
  • Removed unused styles and code from the previous hero (mission section, ship illustration).
  • Deployed the new top navigation across the site (including the homepage) — navy bar with white links, light strip after scroll, smaller submenu labels; the EN button appears only when an English version of the page exists.
  • Improved the mobile menu — smooth panel and submenu expansion, burger-to-close animation, fixed chevron position on expanded items, and more space between the active-state background and the arrow.
  • Aligned smooth colour transitions on scroll (desktop and mobile) — bar background, links, language switch, and logos change together; background blur without a performance-heavy animation.
  • Clearer hover state for the language switch on the light bar after scroll.
  • Adapted the new navigation for high-contrast mode — same layout as the standard version (white tabs, yellow accent) while meeting accessibility requirements.
  • Rebuilt the banner on inner pages — page title and breadcrumb trail on a shared light bar at the bottom of the banner; shorter dark strip with background graphic and a clearer heading with accent line.
  • Unified breadcrumbs across the site (Polish and English) — home icon, chevron separator, shortened path on mobile; improved labels for screen readers.
  • Removed the repeated “CTM press note” subtitle from news pages.
  • Adjusted the banner and breadcrumbs for high-contrast mode and text scaling.
  • Improved photo galleries on product pages — carousel with a “Photo gallery” heading, photo count, and arrows from 4 images onward (same as in news); clearer layout for single and paired photos on mobile; click-to-enlarge unchanged.
  • Fixed cramped product gallery carousels on desktop — thumbnails now use the full section width.
  • Product card download buttons (Polish and English) stay on one line on mobile, with even alignment and clearer spacing from the description.
  • Restored alternating section backgrounds on Careers and Company pages — the bottom mini navigation no longer forces a light background.
  • The accessibility settings button no longer disappears when the mobile menu is open.
  • Deployed the new footer across the site — columns spread on desktop, pill-shaped social icons, single-line link labels, a subdued copyright bar; consistent typography across Company, Offer, and Contact.
  • On mobile, the footer uses two columns (Company / Offer) with shorter link labels; contact is centred.
  • Adapted the footer for high-contrast mode.
  • Improved photo galleries in news — carousel with a “Photo gallery” heading, photo count, and arrows from 4 images onward; clearer layout for single and paired photos on mobile; click-to-enlarge unchanged.
  • Shortened the page loading message — “Ładowanie…” in Polish, “Loading…” in English.
  • Refined how consortium and technology partner logos are presented on project pages — calmer layout, even spacing, centred last row, subtler leader label.
  • On the accredited laboratories and technical service support pages, call-to-action buttons at the top of the page stay on one line on mobile too.
  • Introduced a Changelog with a link from the copyright line in the footer (company name); layout aligned with other information pages.
  • On the Contact page, added a FAX: label before fax numbers so they are easier to tell apart from phone numbers.
  • The changelog table shows the 5 most recent entries by default — older dates can be expanded with the button below the table.
  • Improved changelog table readability in high-contrast mode.
  • Added the changelog to the site map and the search engine sitemap (Polish and English versions).
  • Rebuilt bottom navigation between subpages in Careers and Company — a lower photo strip instead of large tiles; the same layout on all subpages in both sections.
  • Added dedicated illustrations for each destination in the Company mini navigation (including management, shareholders, procurement, and policies).
  • Improved title contrast on photos in the mini navigation and keyboard support — a clear focus indicator when using Tab.
  • Fixed the “Display settings” panel — after opening it, options (text size, contrast, animations, etc.) can be clicked normally again.

Conducted a digital accessibility audit of the website against WCAG 2.2 Level AA criteria — positive result; see the accessibility statement for details.

Audit tools: WAVE (Web Accessibility Evaluation Tool) and manual review.

  • Added alternative text for partner and consortium logos and news photos (including older articles 2010–2026) — screen readers get meaningful descriptions instead of empty ones; projects and SCOT also in English.
  • Improved page headings — article or job posting title is the main heading; unified banner and breadcrumbs across the site.
  • Replaced vague “here” links in older articles with descriptive link text.
  • Marked foreign-language content fragments and language switch labels.
  • Added extended descriptions for PDF links.
  • Added “Skip to content” on all subpages.
  • Improved screen reader orientation: correct roles for header, menu, and footer; clearer footer logo description.
  • When scrolling with the keyboard, focus no longer hides under the sticky top menu.
  • Unified the “Back to top” button with the accessibility button — animation, mobile layout, no overlap.
  • Fixed the UTF-8 character encoding declaration on all pages — Polish characters display correctly.
  • Updated the Polish site map — including accessibility statement, FIK investment, full project list, news archive years.
  • Added an accessibility statement — linked from the footer and the accessibility panel.
  • Aligned the bottom stack of messages: cookie banner, language suggestion, and accessibility panel button appear in the same order without overlapping.
  • Improved the mobile menu — expand arrows on the right edge; the menu icon turns into a close (×) only when closing the whole menu, not when expanding submenus.
  • Added alternative text for footer logos (CTM, EMC Lab Net, PGZ) for screen readers.
  • High-contrast mode successfully launched across the entire website.
  • Added a high-contrast option in the accessibility panel.
  • In the Company menu, added an item on investments co-financed from the Capital Investment Fund.
  • Improved text scaling in news, press notes, and Careers sections.
  • Created the FIK co-financed investment page — text on the left, information poster on the right (Polish section only for now).
  • Updated navigation menu labels (e.g. Management Board and Supervisory Board, Scientific & Technical Council, shareholder communications, PGZ Group Code of Ethics).
  • Added a Quality Specialist (acting) job posting in Gdańsk — detail page and listing entry.
  • Updated the meta description (SEO), social link preview, and article text in press notes.
  • Fixed the Polish/English language switch and related cross-links between page versions.

  • Added icon and favicon tags on all pages.
  • Subtler, consistent focus indicators for keyboard navigation — menu, footer, language switch, and legal links.

  • Added a PWA manifest with icon caching — faster reopening from the phone home screen.

  • Moved shared layout fragments into a single module — less repeated HTML across hundreds of pages.

  • Images below the first screen load on scroll (lazy loading) — less data transfer on first page visit.
  • Added SEO descriptions in news and on job posting pages.
  • Matched key pages for the language switch — home, company, contact, products, and projects.
  • The language switch is hidden where no counterpart exists — e.g. selected job postings and archive articles.
  • Removed distracting blue outlines from product and service cards and the Management section — calmer appearance without losing readability.
  • Reviewed and updated meta descriptions (SEO) on main pages; removed the outdated keywords tag, which search engines no longer use.

  • Loading screen shown only on first visit in a session — subsequent pages open without extra waiting.
